Pre-league meeting actions (11 March 2009 at Old Minch CC)
Actions / changes:
Sujan Depala elected as 1st XI captain (League)
Colin Hogan elected as 1st XI vice captain (League)
Ramesh Varsani elected as 2nd XI captain (League)
Atul Patel elected as 2nd XI captain (League)
It was agreed that priority would be given to ensure
the 1st XI league side has a full team for every league
game
Greater delegation of tasks / responsibilities in the
2nd XI to avoid one person doing all the work. This should
involve the captain dividing up tasks and players taking
responsibility themselves (especially for teas).
Colin Hogan to continue as League Team Secretary however,
please note the following changes:
All players should ensure that they inform Colin about
their availability / non availability by Tuesday of the
following week. This is important especially if you aren't
at that the game when general availability is taken
Praful Depala to check availability by email
There will no longer be a “chasing players” culture.
If you do not inform Colin then your name will not be
considered for selection. The idea is create less work
and know early where we are with team selection and availability.
There may be a Old Minch CC web based availability
system in place – Andy to liaise with Shahid
