All rounder and enthusiastic club cricketer, a very useful middle order batsman with a top score of 92 not out. A deceptive bowler who can bowl between slow and medium depending on the wicket and has a best of 9 for 55. Andy still holds the highest club first wicket partnership of 235 with his nephew Howard Farebrother. Safe pair of hands in the slips and always on the look out to spot new talent and increase the strength of the squad.

Dependable opening bat and reliable wicket keeper with over 10,000 runs to his name. Has held the highly important position of Team Secretary and successfully organises the annual cricket tours. Always the first at the ground on match days and almost always the last to leave. Great club man.

Opening bowler, who is very accurate and can swing the bowl late to trouble many a good batsman, rarely is taken apart. A very handy batsman to come in and hold the tail together when needed. And like his brother Ramesh, is also a quiet and generous team member.

enthusiastic club cricketer who has made a great
deal of progress in a short while with the club. 2nd
team regular and captains the 2nd team in the winter
indoor league. A lower middle order bat, who also
enjoys bowling. If there is a game of cricket he
will be their playing or watching. A good club man.

Tate - (1st XI Captain & wicket keeper)
Joined Fives CC in 1984 at the age of 13.
Prolific yet very modest batsman, top quality wicket keeper, quality fielder, leg break bowler when required etc. Is one of the longest serving captains of the club. Bats at number 3 and has played countless crucial innings for the team. Class act!!

Pat McGowan - (Club Treasury & 1st XI umpire)
Joined Fives CC in 1973 and retired from playing duties at the end of 2006
The longest serving player at the club. Pat has held the club treasuries job for over 25 yrs. A very very slow bowler. A safe pair of hands in the field with his legendary alligator like catching style and is more than capable of holding his own with the bat. Pat is most famous for his now infamous phrase heard at the end of each game when collecting the match fees, "LETS HAVE YOUR MONEY"!!!!

Joined Fives CC in 1997
A
very talented all rounder and attacking middle
order batsman, his highest score is 108. A very
good slow off break bowler who gets better every
season (despite holding the club record for most
runs conceded in one over). A regular gully
fielder who likes to play hard but fair. Career
runs to date 4521, 234 career wickets to date -
with a best of 5-12 and over 111 catches to his
name.

Rakesh Depala - (1st XI Vice Captain)
Joined Fives CC in 1997 and has not looked back since.
An
opening batsman who is very classy, technically
correct and has all the shots in his armoury. Runs
to date over 7,474
He is brilliant in the slips with just over 135 catches
to his name, a man who makes catching look easy.
The best is yet to come from this most talented of
cricketers. Holds the club record for scoring 2001
runs in one season. Has also won the bowling trophy
in the past and has over 70 wickets to hid name.

Predominantly back foot top order batsman not afraid to play his shots right from the start. Useful reserve wicket keeper when required and turns his arm when required to bowl. A quiet and extremely generous man.

talented all rounder, attacking lower middle order
batsman with a wonderful eye for hitting the ball
a very long way. He has on occasions opened the
batting and scored a rapid 168 on one occasion against
Nazeing Common, career runs to date over 5,271. A slow
off break bowler with an immaculate line and length
with over 340 wickets under his belt so far / can also
bowl useful medium pace if required. A specialist
close in fielder and lively wherever he fields, has
over 196 catches. A truly passionate and enthusiastic
cricketer.

An all rounder and left arm fast / medium bowler in his early days with best bowling figures of 7 for 16. Has taken over 290 wickets between 1987 to 2005.An attacking left hand batsman who on his day can take apart any bowling attack. His limitless enthusiasm and passion for the game has enabled him to overcome recent heart surgery.

Suri
is a classy top order batsman and now also opens
the bowling in league games. A safe pair of hands
anywhere on the field. Occasioanlly captains the
Sunday friendly side. A top guy who also regualrly
buys the teas for home games. Suri comes from the
long long production line of players introduced
